Meet Kyle Thomson
Kyle has nearly 2 decades of wilderness teaching experience in 5 states. Kyle got an early start in wilderness skills & started teaching in 2006 to the BSA. Kyle's experience comes from living in the wilderness and using primitive skills to meet his needs.
One of his favorite excursions was in the Uinta mountains where he spent 7 days living with only a knife and made a bow and arrow set to hunt food.
Kyle began Wilderness Wild in 2017 to help teach people how to go beyond survival and learn to live comfortably in the wild. Kyle lives what he teaches, and continues to implement skills into personal outings and home life. Kyle's belief is that we can go beyond survival and start living comfortably through a mix of modern and primitive skills. Kyle is also an instructor at the F2F Gathering, and an experienced field instructor for several wilderness therapy programs.
