Training Programs That Help You Prepare

At Wilderness Wild, we understand that in today’s uncertain world, people are looking for more than just adventure—they’re looking for real, practical skills that build self-reliance, confidence, and peace of mind. Whether you're preparing for backcountry trips, natural disasters, or simply want to reconnect with the land, our survival and preparedness training gives you the hands-on experience you need. We take the guesswork out of learning by teaching proven methods in fire-making, shelter building, water purification, food procurement, and wilderness navigation. Our courses empower you with the skills, mindset, and confidence to handle emergencies, thrive in nature, and take care of yourself and your loved ones—no matter what comes.

Preparedness is key

Survival training is gaining knowledge on survival skills. Knowing basic survival skills can help make the difference between life and death. Survival training will teach you how to thrive in the wilderness or during an emergency. Beyond that the training will help prepare you for national emergencies and disasters outside the wilderness.

Wilderness Survival basics class

Kyle is an amazing and patient teacher! We tried other schools like Making Tracks, but they just didn't offer what we wanted. After taking Kyle's survival program we fell in love with his classes because his easy going personality and vast wealth of knowledge.

youth survival class

This program was exactly what we were looking for. My kids loved every class and can't wait to take more. My oldest would come home excited to teach me what he learned and the kids would be using the primitive items they made throughout the week. He would ask me if Kyle could be their young mens leader so they could do survival stuff.

Matthew Davis - 2024

Kyle is so patient with all the kids and I can't believe how much he knows. He would always stop teaching to share a new plant, show a cool survival trick or tell a story or kid friendly joke. He is an amazing teacher and quickly makes you feel like you've known him for a long time. My kids loved every class.
