Learn to Survive. Train to Thrive. The Survival Basics course is a 7-day immersive experience designed to give you the core skills, mindset, and confidence to handle real-world survival situations. Whether you're new to survival or want to strengthen your emergency readiness, this course will teach you how to stay alive—and thrive—when it matters most. Led by James Matlock, a survival and emergency specialist with years of field experience, and co-taught by seasoned wilderness instructors Kyle Thomson and Shane Linenberger, this course blends hands-on training with deep wilderness immersion. 🏕 Days 1–4: You'll train at our remote base camp, where you’ll learn and practice essential skills like: Survival fire methods, including bow drill fire Water sourcing and disinfection techniques Shelter building and heat loss prevention Basic first aid and emergency care Rescue signals and self-rescue strategies Essential gear selection and how to pack a reliable survival kit 🌲 Days 5–7: You’ll put your new skills to the test during a solo survival camp challenge, applying what you’ve learned in a supported but real-world context. This solo experience is a powerful way to build confidence, test your limits, and connect deeply with the natural world. 💲 Tuition: $3,000 per student Need help? Tuition assistance of up to $1,500 is available for qualifying students. This course is not about just learning to survive—it’s about learning how to thrive in the wild. Join us in the wilderness and leave with skills that will stay with you for life.
