As a Freelance Survival Instructor specializing in youth day classes and camps, you'll have the exciting opportunity to teach children essential survival techniques while fostering a love for nature and adventure.
In this role, you'll design and lead engaging, age-appropriate survival classes that cover essential skills such as shelter building, fire starting, navigation, and basic first aid. Your classes will emphasize safety, teamwork, and environmental respect, ensuring that each child gains confidence and practical knowledge in a fun and interactive setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver dynamic survival courses & classes tailored to different age groups and skill levels.

Create hands-on activities that teach vital survival skills, such as constructing shelters, identifying edible plants, and building fires safely.

Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment that promotes teamwork, problem-solving, and a respect for nature.

Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including emergency preparedness and first aid.

Adapt instructional methods to meet the needs of diverse groups and provide individual support as needed.

Communicate effectively with parents and camp organizers to provide updates and address any concerns.

Join monthly meetings over zoom to connect, brainstorm, and discuss classes and courses
Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge and experience in survival skills and outdoor education.

Previous experience working with youth in educational or recreational settings.

Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate young learners.

Certification in first aid and CPR (preferred).

Pay & Compensation
Instructor Compensation Package
As an instructor with us, you’ll benefit from a rewarding compensation package that reflects your expertise and dedication such as:
Course and Class Tuition: Instructors receive 65% of the total course or class tuition, ensuring you are fairly compensated for your valuable contributions and teaching excellence.
Travel Support: To assist with travel expenses, each instructor is provided with a gas card, helping to cover transportation costs associated with your classes.
Supplies Reimbursement: We offer reimbursement of up to $100 per month for necessary supplies, ensuring you have the resources needed to deliver high-quality instruction.
Annual Bonuses: In recognition of your commitment and outstanding performance, instructors are eligible for annual bonuses based on performance and contribution.
